Mirror Group, LLC. Mindelyn Anderson is an independent Research and Evaluation Consultant. She seeks to collaborate with clients to produce utilization-focused evaluation, training and technical support that positions individuals and organizations to become innovative leaders among their peers. Her primary interests are in human development, equitable diversity, and community/societal change.
In her previous career, Mindelyn was an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Honors Faculty-in-Residence at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. In these positions, she guided undergraduate and graduate students to complete stellar independent and collaborative research projects and created living/learning communities in International Village and the greater Boston area. During this time her scholarship lay at the intersection of race and migration, which she engaged to examine diverse black experiences and processes of social inequality and mobility. The National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, among other funding agencies, supported her research on new African immigrants in U.S. society. She also taught courses on immigration, race and ethnic relations, social stratification, research methods and senior capstone.
